Six collections from the Canary Islands and Guinea were reported and identified as Ramaria cokeri. This taxon has a pantropical distribution but it is the first record for the east-atlantic area. This rare species is described and illustrated and comments of chorology, systematics and close related species are given. The recent combination into the genus Phaeoclavulina is rejected and we list the Ramaria species reported in the bibliography from the Canary archipelago.
