Two news Mediterranean species of corticioid Basidiomycetes with allantoid spores are described and illustrated. Aphanobasidium gloeocystidiatum, growing on dead stem of Cistus monspeliensis, has very small basidia, smooth spores, and gleocystidia. Vuilleminia ericae, on bark of still living Erica arborea, is characterised by its very long basidia and large spores.
