A new chanterelle from Costa Rica: Cantharellus atrolilacinus sp. nov.

Cantharellus atrolilacinus sp. nov. is described. This taxon, closely related to Cantharellus conspicuus, has been collected in mountain Quercus forest in Costa Rica, Central America. A key is proposed for the tropical American Cantharellus.
