Phaeoisaria aguilerae anam. sp. nov., collected on a submerged decaying twig, is described and illustrated. The new species is characterized by clavate, curved, slightly uncinate, 1-septate, smooth, hyaline conidia. The species of Phaeoisaria are briefly reviewed, and a key to the accepted taxa is provided. Helicomina triseptata comb. nov., based on P. triseptata Hol.-Jech., is proposed.
