Four new species of Soulamea (Simaroubaceae) from New Caledonia.

Four news species of Soulamea Lam. with restricted distributions are described from New Caledonia. Three of them are light-demanding shrubby species, two with simple leaves and one with compound leaves. The fourth species, also with compound leaves, is a riparian mesophile shrub or tree. These new species differ from related taxa by their foliar morphology, characteristics of the inflorescence axes, and most notably the amount of pubescence.
