How is your vegetables garden? Ethnography of the vegetables garden of Cerdagne, between house and mountain

The interest ethnology shows to vegetable gardens is not new. Further to previous studies, the authors of this article unfold an ethnography of the vegetable gardens of Cerdagne mountains, in Oriental Pyrenees. With interviews cuttings of the seniors, this text brings out the vegetable gardens logic: economical logic, task sharing between men and women, taste of organisation and clearness, care of hygiene and good health. The authors insist on the importance of the poultry which eats in the garden and the mountain near by, great place of picking.
