
The types of eight taxa of Columbidae in the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle, Paris are reviewed and commented upon. The MNHN holds three paralectotypes of Ptilinopus flavicollis Bonaparte, 1854, and the holotypes by monotypy of the following taxa: Ptilopus (Rhamphiculus) Marchei Oustalet, 1880, Trerolæma leclancheri Bonaparte, 1855 and Columba radiata Quoy & Gaimard, 1830. In addition, the MNHN holds syntypes of the following taxa: Columba oxyura Temminck, 1823, Carpophaga microcera Bonaparte, 1854, Crossophthalmus reichenbachi Bonaparte, 1854 and Chamaepelia godina Bonaparte, 1854.
