The species of the genus Cambefortantus Paulian, 1986, are revised. Cambefortantus helenae n. sp., C. pauliani n. sp. and C. ranomafanensis n. sp. are described and compared with their most related species. Aedeagus and male protibiae are illustrated for each species. The systematic position of this genus within the Epilissini of the Malagasy fauna is discussed. Possible phylogenetic relationships of Cambefortantus and its related genera with other genera of the tribe Epilissini, mostly from the Oriental Region, are presented on the basis of the structures of elytra, of the metasternum and of the shape of aedeagus.
Insecta, Coleoptera, Scarabaeidae, Epilissini, Cambefortantus, Nanos, Apotolamprus, Madagascar, new species.
