Aleocharinae (Insecta, Coleoptera, Staphylinidae) of the Indian Ocean’s islands

In the present paper four tribes (Pronomaeini, Gyrophaenini, Homalotini and Diestotini), six genera (Tomoxelia, Bryothinusa, Gyrophaena, Placusa, Coenonica and Diestota) and seven species are recognized. Five species are described as new to science, Tomoxelia comorensis n. sp. from Comoro Islands, Bryothinusa seychellensis n. sp. from Seychelles, Gyrophaena comorensis n. sp. from the Comoro Islands, Gyrophaena rugiventris n. sp. from Mauritius and Placusa comorensis n. sp. from the Comoro Islands.
