The cruise of the Marion Dufresne off the Brazilian coast: account of the scientific results and list of stations

From May 6 to June 2 1987 the Marion Dufresne obtained a large series of deep water samples from off the southeastern Brazilian coast, oceanographic cruise TAAF MD55/Brazil. The MD55 collections include several new species and records from the southwestern Atlantic. Knowledge of the deep water fauna from that region has been broadened as a result of a series of reports published in the last ten years. An account of the scientific results published so far is presented herein.
