21 (3) - Pages 573-580The type-specimens of 11 species of Hemiprocnidae and Apodidae are examined critically and lectotypes are designated for six of them, which are: Cypselus mystaceus Lesson, 1828, Hirundo albicollis Vieillot, 1817, Collocalia germani Oustalet, 1876, Chaetura grandidieri, J. Verreaux, 1867, Chaetura gierrae Oustalet, 1890 and Cypsiurus parvus Lesson, 1831. The binomens Hirundo franciae Lesson, 1831 and H. francisca Vieillot, 1817 are unjustified emendations of Hirundo francica Gmelin, 1789, and the binomen Salangana vestita Lesson, 1843 is based on a description by Latham (1801).
