The Bulletin du Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle 4ème série is separated into three sections:

• A, Zoologie, biologie et écologie animales ;
• B, Botanique, biologie et écologie végétales, phytochimie (amalgamated from 1981 with the journal Adansonia n.s.) ;
• C, Sciences de la Terre, paléontologie, géologie, minéralogie.

It is completed by the Bulletin du Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle 4ème série, Miscellanea which is annual and details the works and acquisitions of the laboratories and departments of the Museum.

Beginning: vol. 1, 1979;
End: vol. 18, 1996.
