Morphological and caryological studies on the Campanula edulis Forssk. complexe and C. bordesiana Maire subsp. bordesiana show : 1) relationship between the composants of the former group with a well marked polymorphism independently of the chromosomical races ; 2) a morphological homogeneity within the latter with a dodecaploid chromosome number (2n = 84). The evolutive significance of this number 2n = 84 may be different with a neopolyploid category for the first and a paleopolyploid concerning the second group.
