The description of the leaf and root anatomy of 10 Cyrtorchis species is presented. Chromosome numbers (2n) are recorded. Most of these data are presented for the first time. The new chromosome numbers are : C. arcuata 2n = 92 ; C. chailluana 2n = 46 or 92 ; C. crassifolia 2n = 92 ; C. henriquesiana 2n = 46 ; C. injoloensis 2n = 92 or 138 ; C. praetermissa 2n = 184.
