The Bulletin du Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle 3ème série is separated into five sections. One paper is published per fascicule (except for year 1978 where papers have been grouped into bi-monthly fascicules). During these years, there is a double numerotation:
Global numerotation for all sections:
n°1 January-February 1971 (= Zoologie 1) to n°522 November-December 1978 (= Sciences physico-chimiques 19);
Numerotation within the section Sciences physico-chimiques:
n°1 November-December 1972 (= fascicule 101) to n°19 November-December 1978 (= fascicule 522).
Beginning: fasc. 1, 1972 (published in 1973);
End: fasc. 19, 1978.

The Bulletin du Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle, 3ème série – Sciences Physico-chimiques follows the Bulletin du Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle 2ème série and is completed by the Bulletin du Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle 3ème série, supplément.
