The Roman Catholic church and the animal at the contemporary age

Catholic conceptions on the animal have never been so varied and conflicting than nowadays. Contrary to a majority tendency (proceeding from a repulsion of the animal outside of the sacred) which describes it as a distant ancestor, without any future, a simple tool, a minority vision commends its respect, its integration in the sacred. A divergence which is the reflection of contradictions in the contemporary French society.
