Borzia (Cyanophyta) in West Bengal, India, with the description of B. indica sp. nov.

Three species of Borzia (Cyanophyta): B. trilocularis, B. susedana and B. indica sp. nov. are described and illustrated. The materials studied were collected from different locations of the Burdwan district of West Bengal. The taxonomic validity of the genus is discussed. With the exception of a listing by Kamat (1972), this genus has not been previously reported from India.
