Lectotypes of Cystoseira balearica Sauvageau, Cystoseira mauritanica Sauvageau, Cystoseira mediterranea Sauvageau and Cystoseira spinosa Sauvageau were designated from the original collections of Sauvageau held in the Cryptogamic Herbarium of the Muséum national d’histoire naturelle of Paris (PC).
