The Noua Culture, from the end of the Bronze Age, was located on Romania 's territory in the province of Moldavia and partially in the province of Transylvania. lt was also developed in the center of the province of Bessarabia. Together with the Sabatinovka Culture, between the Danube mouth and Dnieper, and the Cologeni Culture in the south-east of the province of Muntenia near the lower Danube, it makes a relatively uniform complex, their inhabitants being especially cattle breeders. Together, towards the XIIth century BC, they penetrated into the Balkan Peninsula and formed in the Carpatian-Danubian-Pontic-Aegean area, at the beginning of the Iron Age, the Thraco-Ceto-Dacian ethnos.
