The Dicotyledons of French Guiana as currently known include some 3 600 species. In this volume, 489 species (i.e. 13.8 % of dicotyledon species) are reviewed. They belong to the following 14 families: Connaraceae, Convolvulaceae, Crassulaceae, Cucurbitaceae, Cyrillaceae, Dichapetalaceae, Dilleniaceae, Droseraceae, Ebenaceae, Elaeocarpaceae, Ericaceae, Erythroxylaceae, Euphorbiaceae, Fabaceae. The geographical distribution of each species is given, at the scale of the world and at that of the French Guianan territory, with a map to fully visualize their range. All the synonyms are presented for each taxon, updated using the floras of French Guiana and the neighbouring countries. The different taxa are presented by plant type and vegetation type.
