Inventaire et Cartographie des invertébrés comme contribution à la gestion des milieux naturels français

The third conference entitled "Inventaire et cartographie des invertébrés comme contribution à la gestion des milieux naturels français" (Surveying and Mapping Invertebrates to improve Natural Environment Management in France), held from the 8th to the 10th July 1999 in Besançon, brought together some 150 professional and amateur participants from various research agencies, protected natural areas, engineering departments and associations, all working on the subject of invertebrates. Fifteen speeches were delivered on species’ surveying, mapping and monitoring: 6 on the study of habitats and species, 6 more on management experiences and, finally, 4 on general topics. A round table provided the opportunity to submit the project for the setting up of the National Invertebrate Observatory for France. Finally, 23 posters were showed with a view to further enhance the topics dealt with.
