Flore de Madagascar et des Comores

With 10000 species of flowering plants, Madagascar is a micro-continent of its own, that has fascinated botanists and zoologists for centuries. A high level of endemism and a high rate of deforestation have resulted in Madagascar being recognized as one of the top conservation hotspots of the world. The Flore de Madagascar et des Comores forms the backbone of scientific knowledge on this fascinating vegetal diversity. The series was launched in 1936.
