Discovery of Platyla polita (W. Hartmann, 1840) (Gastropoda, Aciculidae) in the department of Hautes-Alpes

Platyla polita (W. Hartmann, 1840) is a millimetric snail of hardwood forest with European distribution. This article concerns the first mention for the department of Hautes-Alpes (located on the township of Gap), and the second regional station, the first mention is located in the department of Alpes-Maritimes. It is also the first and only representative of Aciculidae in the department of Hautes-Alpes. The inventories allowed this discovery were conducted in 2018 and the species has been found in an unusual habitat in relation to its ecology.
