Remains of Brachyodus cf. onoideus from the Ban Na Sai Basin (Thailand) are described. They correspond to the first occurrence of that genus in South Asia, and might document the latest record of the genus in the Old World. Sihongotherium from the Middle Miocene of eastern China is likely a representative of Brachyodus that was misinterpreted.
