L’expédition naturaliste « La Planète revisitée » dans le cœur du Parc amazonien de Guyane a permis à plus de cinquante scientifiques d’inventorier la faune de ce secteur peu accessible, avec un effort particulier sur les groupes taxonomiques à la fois riches et méconnus. La zone forestière étudiée présente un relief de collines et inselbergs, avec une grande variété de milieux. Les objectifs principaux étaient de découvrir de nouvelles espèces pour la science, de signaler de nouvelles espèces pour la Guyane et de dresser un inventaire de référence pour les études de biogéographie. La série d’articles publiés dans Zoosystema présente le contexte, des résultats et des découvertes issus de cette expédition.
