Epifoliar fungi from Panama

Epifoliar ascomycete taxa are annotated from leaf surfaces collections in the lowland tropical rain forest at the Smithsonian San Lorenzo canopy crane research site on the Caribbean slope of the Republic of Panama. This paper provides comparative taxonomic descriptions of 23 species of epifoliar fungi in 17 genera and 8 families as a companion to a study conducted at Cape Tribulation, Queensland, Australia.
