Checklist of the bryophytes of the Guadeloupe archipelago and Martinique (French West Indies)

Checklists of the bryophytes of the Guadeloupe archipelago (including La Désirade, Marie-Galante and Les Saintes archipelago) and Martinique are presented based on published data, herbarium specimens and fieldwork. 613 species taxa, including 361 of liverworts, 242 of mosses and 10 of hornworts, are recorded from the Guadeloupe archipelago and 355 species (190 liverworts, 156 mosses, 9 hornworts) from Martinique. Fifty species (20 liverworts, 29 mosses, 1 hornwort) are new to the Guadeloupe archipelago and 21 (8 liverworts, 13 mosses) are new to Martinique.
