About the film Une sacrée vacherie

Une sacrée Vacherie is a documentary film about a cattle breeder during the days before the slaughter of his cattle, the BSE contamination of one of his cows having just been confirmed. Produced in 2000 by J.-F. Delassus, it has been shown several times on various television channels. The depiction of a rural world in the midst of crisis is exemplary. The personality of the farmer and his willingness to work closely with the production team give the film great force. This is an opportunity to look closely at the political and ideological issues involved in the relation of our western urbanized societies to animals.
