Naturae, the new scientific and technical journal for the knowledge and French conservation of biodiversity and geodiversity

On February 15th, we are launching Naturae, the new scientific and technical journal for the knowledge and French conservation of biodiversity and geodiversity.

Today, as sharing knowledge for protection of nature has become essential, and since there are very few French journals on knowledge and conservation of biodiversity and geological heritage, the UMS2006-Patrimoine naturel decided to create a free and online journal for naturalists, researchers and administrators: Naturae.

This French scientific and technical journal aims to encourage the sharing of knowledge on earth and marine biodiversity as well as on geological heritage and management issues. The creation of this journal is based on the review that, in France, it is essential to make accessible naturalist knowledge and to highlight cases of management/restoration (ecological engineering, tests for different ways of managing an environment of certain species on a natural area...) that are poorly documented.

By publishing case studies that are essential to make summary of proven facts ("Systematic review"), Naturae encourages knowledge building in order to strengthen actions for conservation.
